ABC News went underwater in the Gulf with Philippe Cousteau Jr., grandson of famous explorer Jacques Cousteau, and he described what he saw as “one of the most horrible things I’ve ever seen underwater.”

Let’s be fair… aside from being what BP doesn’t want you to see, can we also call it what the media was really too lazy to report about until now?
They’ve run out of “surface angles” and someone, somewhere, said “Hey! Let’s go UNDER the water.”
I’m not trying to diminish the seriousness of the problem, just pointing out that GMA saying “WOW! This really is bad when you look at it from under water!” over month after the fact is really sloppy reporting.
